Marianna Filiptseva

Marianna has always dreamed of the stage. She started singing in a choir in elementary school, continued through high school and university, and sang in a number in folk music groups. She is also an accomplished Master of Ceremonies, with a lot of enthusiasm and competence in organizing corporate celebrations, fundraising events and screenplay writing. When she moved to Toronto, she started looking for the choir where her soul would feel at home. Then she had the idea: “We should create the choir ourselves!” From that moment, her universe started spinning around that initiative. At a chance meeting of Creative People of Toronto Forum in February of 2016 she met an enthusiastic choir conductor, and so Ave Choir was born. They had their first rehearsal in less than a week!
The choir has proven to be a success, with a number of performances and awards won Marianna was so inspired by the success of the choir that in 2016 she went on to obtain the certificate in management of non-profit organizations from York Entrepreneurship Development Institute at Schulich School of Business.
